Lotus Temple - Bahai House of Worship - New Delhi

The lotus temple, the Bahá'í House of Worship, is close to Nehru place. Despite being about 8 to 10 k.m. from IT the first time I visited it was about a month before leaving IIT Delhi. My father had come to Delhi on some official visit and we decided to visit this place after he was done with his work.



The temple is one of the Bahai house of worship. It is open to people of all faiths and is a nice place to visit if you are visiting the NCR (Delhi Region). The above snaps should be enough to justify why people call it a lotus temple. The architecture of this temple is not only serene but also very beautiful.



The crowd, as shown in the above two snaps, just show that even in a hot summer afternoon the people flock in large numbers to visit this place.
